2009 - Season 1

The first season of the FLMS was born out of turbulance and unrest after a couple of, ultimately, failed attempts to continue the old Forza Motorsport Formula 1 World Championships. It was decided that there were too many races in the busy F1 calendar and a more lengthy and undemanding (In this aspect) season, was required to meet the needs of the drivers. And as such the FLMS was born. Running with 2 classes and 8 drivers on track at the same time. It turned out to be the change that was needed and the series hasn't looked back since.

The championship got off to the best possible start with close racing, action, and general good fun! In the LMP1 class snmf1 got off to a great start but from then onwards had to hold off LoneInquisitor's, ultimately unrewarded, charge and snmf1 took his first major championship title, one he was exstatic in taking.

In the GT2 class it was TCR Polaris JS (Slappia at the time) who took the initiative, taking the win at Laguna for race 1. However it was his challenger in the #62 Ferrari, Jam 13UN, who caught up and took the honours in GT2, his 3rd after 2 F1 titles.
